Candlemas is an evening of music, readings, poetry and other items contributed by our own members. Falling on or close to the 2nd of February, it is a convivial way of dispelling the spirits of winter and welcoming the lengthening days that herald the coming of spring.

This year’s Candlemas will be a special online edition. You will be able to enjoy it in the comfort of your own living room without venturing out into the cold February night!

The formal part of the evening will last approximately one hour but you can stay online afterwards for a chat with the other guests. All (short) contributions are welcome. The evening is open to all members of the Society and there will be no charge.
