The University of Oxford’s Law Faculty invites Oxford alumni and friends to a weekend of events in Berlin to help mark the 25th Anniversary of the Majister Juris (MJur). The event will bring together alumni living and working in Europe and provide a great opportunity to catch up with old friends whilst developing social and career networks. Our Linklaters Professor of Comparative Law, Professor Birke Haecker, will be attending along with the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Anne Davies and other Oxford Law academics. ”

10th anniversary of the Oxford and Cambridge Society

We are proud to announce our upcoming event, the 10-year anniversary celebration of the joint Society! Please complete the reply slip [link] and pay for any non-members as soon as possible because there are strict security measures in place at the Residence. We have to submit a list of names a week in advance, and anyone who cannot identify themselves and is not on the list will not be admitted.

Could those who have already registered also fill out the slip, in particular making sure that the name of their guest is clearly entered? Spaces are limited, so first come, first served, and preference will be given to members and valued friends.

2016: Monthly Drinks in Den Haag

Dear Alumni, the Committee has decided to reinstate our monthly get-together in Den Haag! The gatherings will take place every last Tuesday of each month at 8 pm at Millers (for more information see Regular Events).

Starting date/time/location: April 26th, 2016. 8 pm. Millers. Look out for two tall Germans (Matthias and Johannes).

The idea behind the gatherings is to allow Oxford and Cambridge alumni to meet others living in their area for conversation, drinks, dinner, whatever is desired. Anyone with an Oxford or Cambridge connection is welcome, no matter whether an expatriate working here or a Dutch former Oxbridge student. You do not need to be a member of The Oxford and Cambridge Society of the Netherlands. If you wish, you can contact someone on the committee to find out more about the plans or the locations, but otherwise feel free just to turn up. Someone from the committee will anyway be present at the gathering whenever possible.
