Keynote Speaker – Yvo de Boer
Yvo de Boer is a globally recognized leader in climate policy and sustainable development. As Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) from 2006 to 2010, he steered international negotiations during a pivotal era for climate action, including the landmark Copenhagen Climate Conference in 2009.
Prior to his UN role, Yvo held senior positions in the Dutch government, shaping environmental policy and international cooperation. After the UNFCCC, he transitioned to the private sector as Global Chairman of Climate Change and Sustainability Services at KPMG, driving initiatives that bridged policy and business. He later served as Director-General of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), championing green growth strategies in emerging economies, and as President of Gold Standard, enabling governments and businesses to deliver climate solutions with measurable benefits for people and nature.
Throughout his career, Yvo has combined diplomatic acumen with practical innovation, guiding governments and corporations through the complex intersection of climate change and economic development.
