October 2019: Round table with prof. em. Henk Dekker

Politics is ultimately the work of human beings. If we want to understand politics better, we need to include psychological concepts and approaches in our analysis. What is the political mind of human beings and what are the most important ingredients? Crucial is the attitude towards one’s own country and people; patriotism or nationalism. This is also true in a globalising environment. Prof. em. Dekker will discuss with us his research on these matters.

prof. em. Dekker is a professor in political socialisation and integration and name-giver to the inter-university Henk Dekker award for Educational Innovation. His research includes nationalism, political cynicism, and political socialisation.

Join us for this event in the Faculty Club’s canal side room. A selection of non-alcoholic beverages and and a platter of finger food are included in the price.
